DEAN ONER

A self-taught graffiti artist from Peru, Dean Oner was born in 1978 and arrived in Dunkirk (France) when he was 9 years old. His moniker comes from the American name “Dean”, and the number “one” as he is the first graffiti artist to choose this name.
He draws his inspiration from the Japanese Kawaii universe, illuminations, the large neon signs from Japan, and Ink76 and Sonic who he considers to be the “fathers” of the global graffiti movement.
Dean has created murals with graffiti crews in the Bronx, and particularly in Brooklyn. He also took part in a major project for the Twin Towers in Queens in New York in 2004.
He receives national and international commissions, and his work can be found in cities around the world including Dunkirk, Singapore, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Switzerland, and Spain.
